Our worship leader will be Brian Gates:
Brian Gates is a worship leader from Montgomery, Alabama. He has been leading worship for 11 years for churches, camps, colleges, and retreats across the Southeast. Brian is currently serving as the worship leader at Grace Community Church in Millbrook, Alabama. He and his wife, Stephanie, have been married for seven years and have two children-an eight-month old son, Asher and four year old golden retriever, Taylor.
Our speaker will be Rusty Sizemore:
Relevant, innovative and passionate, these are just a few words that describe Rusty’s ability and desire to communicate the life-changing truth of Jesus Christ to the next generation. When Rusty speaks, his passion for truth is evident in every message. “I don’t want students to hear what I have to say, I want them to hear what God wants to say. The power of God’s word is relevant to every generation of teenagers. My desire is to communicate truth in a way that enables every student to hear directly from God.”
Rusty’s experience includes 20 years of being a youth pastor and speaker, growing up with a dad who served in student ministry all of his life, and now he has four teenagers of his own. Rusty’s unique style combines teaching directly from God’s word with life stories, media elements and an interpersonal approach to every student audience. “I am excited consider it a privilege anytime I am given the opportunity to speak to their student audience. My approach is to understand and communicate truth that meets the spiritual goals of the youth leader for his event.”
Rusty is a native and lives in the Birmingham area with his wife Leigh, and their four teenagers Luke, Jake, Nate and Ivy. In his spare time he loves watching science fiction, reading comic books, and is a reality TV fanatic and hopes to someday be a cast member on a challenge-driven reality TV show.
Our New Years Eve Band will be Thalon, an Indie Christian Rock Band from Clanton, Alabama.
